Attorneys At Law     Estate Planning / Probate / Real Estate / Criminal Defense

Our firm's reputation stems from Bruce Whitney's decades of meticulous title work. Our goal is to continue to excel in this area, and we actively seek out relevant continuing education and maintain strong relationships with local banks, title companies, municipalities, realtors, accountants, insurance agents, and other attorneys. We now write title policies in Maine and New Hampshire and offer a full suite of residential and commercial closing services. Whether you have a complex title issue, are buying your first home, or have a question about the new subdivision you're developing, please think of us. It is always worthwhile to have your own representation in a real estate transaction.

People put off estate planning for different reasons. It is uncomfortable to face your own mortality, the decision making can be overwhelming, or you feel you should wait until you have all your ducks in a row. These are all valid, legitimate concerns. Our goal is to make estate planning understandable and accessible. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good; it is better to have a simple plan in place that you can modify later than to have nothing in place at all. We are happy to talk with you about your options. You'd be surprised - the process can be less painful than you think! Our approach is thoughtful, practical, and tailored to the individual.

We are fortunate to have accessible probate courts in Maine and New Hampshire. We have successfully guided clients through a range of probate matters, from guardianships to contentious will contests, intestate and testate petitions, small estate affidavits, creditor claims, and the sale of estate property.

Do you want to protect your rental property by transferring it into an LLC? Are you an existing business that wants to incorporate? Is the bank asking for a Statement of Authority or Corporate Resolution for your refi? Do you need someone to act as your Registered Agent and keep your corporate books? We regularly work with individuals and small businesses in these capacities. We know the trials and tribulations of being self-employed and enjoy working with other small businesses in the Seacoast.
